Unscramble Daily

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the tools, the word list and the daily game.

General

Is everything on this site free?

Yes. All three tools and the daily game are free and need no account. The site may show ads to cover its costs.

Do you store the letters I type?

No. The tools run in your browser and your letters are not sent to our server. Game stats and solver progress are saved only in your own browser.

Which dictionary do you use?

We use the ENABLE word list, a public domain list of about 168,000 English words that many word games are based on. We remove offensive words and slurs. Newer Scrabble additions such as QI and ZA are not part of ENABLE.

A real word is missing. Can you add it?

Please tell us through the contact page. We keep the main list close to ENABLE so results match common word games, but we review every suggestion.

Unscrambler and jumble solver

What is the difference between the unscrambler and the jumble solver?

The unscrambler finds every word you can make from your letters, including shorter words. The jumble solver only finds words that use all of the letters, which is what jumble puzzles need, and it helps with the circled letters and the final answer.

How do I enter a blank tile or an unknown letter?

Type a question mark. In the unscrambler a ? works like a blank tile. In the jumble solver it stands for a letter you are not sure about.

Why does the jumble solver show more than one answer?

Some letter sets make several words, such as STARE, TEARS and RATES. The most common word is shown first. Tap another answer to use it instead.

Daily word jumble

When does the daily puzzle change?

Every day at midnight US Eastern Time. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle for that date.

Why did my streak reset?

A streak counts consecutive days solved on the day itself without showing the answers. Missing a day or using Show answers resets it. Stats are stored per browser, so switching devices or clearing browser data also starts over.

Can a daily puzzle have two correct answers?

No. Every word in our puzzles is chosen so that its letters spell only one word in our dictionary, including the final word.
